Graham Norton is a television and radio presenter, comedian, actor, author, and commentator based in the United Kingdom.


He is best-known for his comedy chat show The Graham Norton Show.


Early life

Graham Norton is his stage name – he was born Graham Walker in 1963 in Dublin.


Norton studied English and French at University College in Cork, before moving to London to attend the Central School of Speech and Drama.


Career

Starting out in stand-up comedy, Norton found roles in comedy programs on radio and television.


By 1998, Norton had made the move into chat shows and his career continued to grow.


His flagship chat-show launched on BBC in 2007. Since 2010, he has also presented a radio program.


Personal life

Norton publicly discusses his sexuality. Being a gay man has been part of his on-screen persona throughout his career.


Significant relationships have included Trevor Patterson, and Andrew Smith.
