Kate McKinnon is a gifted comedic actress.
McKinnon’s impersonations have always been one of her strengths. She says her knack for accents began in grade school, where she made her classmates laugh with an attempt at a British accent.
Pursuing her passion for performing, McKinnon completed a degree in theatre at Columbia University, focusing on comedy and musical improv.
First hitting our screens in 2007 – as a cast member of Logo TV’s The Big Gay Sketch Show – it was in 2012 that McKinnon hit the big time and became part of the cast of Saturday Night Live.
Political figures are often the focus of SNL’s sketches, and McKinnon’s Hillary Clinton became iconic. We’ve also seen her as a vampiric Rudy Giuliani, and a loving parody of Elizabeth Warren.
McKinnon has won two Emmys and also appeared in numerous movies – including Ghostbusters, The Spy Who Dumped Me, Yesterday, and Bombshell.
We love a woman who makes us laugh.
